Observe with Agent Visualizer and Anypoint Monitoring
Prerequisites: connectors-and-mcp-tool-binding
You cannot operate what you cannot see. Observe - the fourth MAF capability - gives you a live picture of the agent network and the telemetry to debug it, closing the loop from design to run.
What you will learn
- What the Agent Visualizer shows and which metrics it surfaces.
- How Anypoint Monitoring provides traces, logs, and metrics.
- Why observability is the feedback loop for governance.
The Agent Visualizer
The Agent Visualizer renders the agent network as a graph so you can see which agents call which, and how traffic flows through brokers and MCP tools. It surfaces interaction metrics such as A2A Calls Sent and MCP Calls Sent (Get Started with Agent Fabric).
Accessible alternative (text/tabular)
For accessibility, here is the same information a visualizer graph conveys, in tabular form:
| Source agent | Target | Interaction | Metric |
|---|---|---|---|
| triage-agent | billing-agent | A2A | A2A Calls Sent |
| account-agent | salesforce-tools | MCP | MCP Calls Sent |
| enterprise-broker | (routes) | A2A | A2A Calls Sent |
Anypoint Monitoring
Beyond the topology view, Anypoint Monitoring collects traces, logs, and metrics for your deployed applications and agents, so you can drill from a network view down to an individual request (Anypoint Monitoring).
Observe closes the loop
Where to go next
You have completed Track 4 and practiced all four MAF capabilities - Discover, Govern, Orchestrate, and Observe. Continue to Track 5: Platform Engineering to automate the infrastructure, networking, and cost controls behind everything you have deployed.
